Using the USDA Choose My Plate/SuperTracker assignment and website, analyze your current dietary patterns. Synthesize the information from the sources listed below to create specific plan to improve your diet:

Based upon the results of your Choose MyPlate SuperTracker assignment, explain specific changes you could make to your diet for health improvement (provide specific food examples) and why it is important for you to make these changes. Feel free to incorporate personalized information regarding specific changes in areas such as foods and recipes of your culture or food choices on and around the UCI campus.
Optional: You may also add a paragraph of information about your physical activity plan to complement your dietary changes.
Incorporate basic principles of behavior change into your written nutritional analysis and plan:
Baseline data – describe what you have been doing that you would like to change
State your reasons for wanting to change your dietary patterns. Describe all of the potential benefits of making this change permanent.
Create a second S.M.A.R.T. goal (2-4 weeks) relating to your nutritional health. Remember to make it specific, measurable, and to include a defined period of time (specify a start date) PLEASE POST THIS NEW SMART GOAL ON THE DISCUSSION BOARD AFTER YOU CLICK "NEXT".
Social support – Who will support you? Are there campus resources you might use?
Anticipate and plan for specific challenges and barriers – what could go wrong and what will you do to overcome these challenges
Planning rewards – describe specific non-food rewards that you will give your self for successfully achieving your goal.
