Personal the Strengths and Weaknesses
            To begin with, I acknowledge that fitting the professional field of gender and generation information is demanding and requires a person with certain strengths. Otherwise, one would not fit in the profession. I consider that success in this area hinges on two key elements, namely professional qualifications and personality strengths. The two elements together justify the need for individuals to backtrack both their academic progress and personality. I acknowledge that the essence of this process would be to identify areas of strengths to exploit opportunities and departments of weaknesses that need to be addressed. I am quite contented with my academic progress so far and can confidently rate myself as an “A” student. However, as far as the personality is concerned, I realize that there is a lot that I need to do. The point does not mean that I am entirely weak in every aspect that pertains to my career goal. In the assessment of personality strengths and weaknesses, I utilized the Myers Brigg’s personality types, which I considered comprehensive in helping one understand personal progress in fitting in gender and generation information.
The Demands of Gender and Generation Information and Personality Test Results
I acknowledge that gender and generation information is a demanding aspect that requires one to deploy various skills. Moreover, I recognize that the list of necessary skills is endless, but the core skills are easily notable and include planning, communication, leadership, IT skills, teamwork, leadership, independence, time management, and cultural competence. As a learner specializing in the career, I have managed to master many of these skills, although there are some areas that I will need to polish.  The Myers Brigg’s personality types test revealed that I am oriented towards ENFJ, and this has a significant impact on my course in gender and generation information. According to (2017), individuals with this personality orientation are born to be leaders. For instance, they are typically full of charisma and management passion. In general, they account for about 2% of the population and serve leadership positions such as coaches, teachers, politicians, and activists. Moreover, they play an influential role in society, hence mobilizing and influencing people to exhibit and pursue social justice. In general, they are extroverts (Furnham & Crump, 2015). Based on their abilities, such persons are confident with their leadership roles and pride themselves on leading others. As managers, it is of critical importance to understand and appreciate gender and generation matters at workplaces. For instance, gender balance in team formation can be an effective tool of boosting productivity. Moreover, mixed teams regarding age are recommended for firms that are preparing new crops of leaders. Meanwhile, subjects are drawn to leaders with such knowledge due to their strong personalities since they exhibit altruism and concern for their followers. Moreover, they are generally fearless in airing their views whenever pressing issues arise. Ideally, they find that it is easy for them to communicate and liaise with other people. The intuitive trait of these individuals enables them to be appealing to followers and sell their ideas to the minds of audiences through emotions and logic (Fretwell, Carmen, & Hannay, 2015). Most importantly, they have the power to read disconnected events. Thus, it would be possible that while working in gender and generation information, I can always bring the ideas together and assert their goals with desirable and mesmerizing eloquence.
The Areas of Strengths
Indeed, based on personal experiences, I found my character to conform to the descriptions above. For instance, I am talkative and have a passion for fun. Apart from that, I am expressive in nature and possess crucial communicating skills that would most certainly benefit in gender and generation information field. I find my intuitive trait as my strength as it enables me to sound future-focused, inventive, and imaginative. I can read between the lines and come up with important information that presents me as an abstract thinker. I have a tendency to process informing through impressions and patterns, yet I am a very reliable leader too. I find that the ability to confine myself to the work environments seldom brings out the best in me. I believe gender and generation information practice could significantly benefit from this practice.
Gender and generation information is quite challenging and one can meet new roles. My defeating strength lies in my personality of being open to challenges and new roles that I undertake; thus, I am always driven by ambitions. I find myself tackling issues, no matter how overwhelming they are. When dealing with the outside world, I perceive rather than judge, which means that I have positive thinking. I keep my choices open, and that enables me to gain a sense of control and access to the opportunities that are presented to me. I am curious about my surroundings and prefer to stretch the boundaries of my knowledge. Furthermore, I am friendly and tolerant to the differences among people, implying that I can get along with individuals from various backgrounds. People prefer me in their company since I am affectionate and flexible in reasoning. I always turn to my family for help, advice, and support since their counsel has never failed me. I believe in social responsibility and ethics for sustainable leadership.  I believe these qualities are particularly critical for a person working in the in gender and generation information.
Areas of Weaknesses
First, I acknowledge that gender and generation information is so demanding that I must address the areas of weaknesses to fit in. The course requires realists, and not idealists. My main limitation is that I am excessively idealistic, a trait that often gets me caught off-guard in the face of antagonism. Being a person who makes decisions based on how I feel instead of what other people like has occasionally made me appear weak and mean. My personal sense is inextricably intertwined with others. My feeling personality makes me less decisive when I am confronted with tough decisions since I imagine all the possible humanitarian consequences.
Besides, gender and generation information requires good listeners. Therefore, I will need to improve my listening skills, which are greatly hindered by my personality type. Ability to empathize is another skill that I lack as I tend to make decisions based on what I feel rather than what is presumed to be right according to the views of other people. Such can be very antagonizing when dealing with sensitive gender or generation matters. Being extra subtle is the point of weakness in my traits. I have been in various positions of leadership in the past, and trying to fix other people’s problems that were almost impossible to address was my greatest setback as it caused me a lot of pressure and anxiety. Therefore, there is the need to improve my self-control and my ability to manage conflicts effectively.
In the course of pursuing the goals that I have set for my career, I am bound to face multiple threats that come about as a result of my personality. My over-trusting nature makes me fail as a leader as it is easy for a person who does not deserve my trust to take advantage of me. Self-control problems and a fluctuating self-confidence can easily thwart my goals, but I endeavor to keep myself educated as I focus on mitigating my emotive intelligence. The fact that I value harmony and know how to deal with crowds is the only path through which I could reduce the threats identified. Besides, I find that while I am not very poor in areas such as planning, communication, leadership, IT skills, teamwork, leadership, independence, and time management, cultural competence, my ratings are not quite satisfactory, implying I will need to continue striving to improve.
Action Plan to Address the Weaknesses
            I believe that there are possibilities to enable me to address the problem. To make myself better in my area of specialization, I should read appropriate books and need sufficient time that will help me address my weak areas and gain more insight into becoming a reliable person regarding generations and gender issues. To achieve these goals, I would not take for granted the help of a highly experienced specialist, my parents, and family in general. I have already identified my prospective opportunities for the future. My perfect working environment should be the kind that is less restricting but friendly and relaxed. My ideal opportunity is to keep an eye on my inspiration, gratify my curiosity, and come up with original and innovative solutions that would be of benefit to other people and me too.
